EASTERN DIVISION OUTSTANDING
PATROLLER for 2020
This Patroller joined NSP in 1999, and became an Alpine Patroller. knee issues became an issue. Despite knee issues, because of this person’s dedication and enjoyment of serving the NSP, this individual maintains an active Patroller status and put in over 300 hours last season.
With a background as a nurse, this Patroller not only does on-hill first aid, they teach innovative OEC stations at Instructor and Patrol refreshers, and provide mini refreshers in the patrol room, on equipment that is used less frequently. Other OEC involvement includes running makeup refreshers, coordinating stations for the Region’s Senior EMM event, teaching and chaperoning at YAP seminars, and being heavily involved in the Patrol’s electronic incident reporting. When not doing that, you’ll find the Patroller teaching CPR classes. This person is highly respected by peers and Patrol management.
When a family member became involved in the Civil Air Patrol, this individual began teaching first aid for them as well. When that family member graduated the Civil Air Patrol, the individual continued to teach first aid for that organization.
This Patroller’s dedication to teaching first aid to people in her Region and the community, along with the involvement with electronic incident training, we offer congratulations to this year’s
